Three Days with Branham Anamon | AI VP Operations (Africa)

The Reception.

Three days with Branham Anamon started on Tuesday, 20th October 2015. Dennis Lugano (President, AIESEC in Kenya) picked up MR ANAMON from the airport. It was a very warm welcome from the Members of the MC (Member Committee). We had all been looking forward to meeting with the AIESEC International representative in the person of Branham Anamon to provide answers to questions which have been left unanswered. That being said, when he arrived it was safe to say "THE MESSIAH HAD COME HOME" Karibu Kenya.

DAY 1 - 20th October 2015

The visit started with the explanation of the agenda by Branham. After which we moved in to a short GTKEO (Get to know each other) session in which we shared our names and “what the AIVP did not know about the individual”. Next was the “who we are” session which involved a drawing activity and sharing three most interesting and random things about you. After this, we went into a more intimate session where members of the MC team shared those things they like and don’t like about each other (if any) .

The second session commenced. “The Movement”
Here we talked on lengths about where we are coming from and where we are headed to as a global network. How AIESEC started with an idea of six people to now over 80,000 members. Here we established that AIESEC should not be perceived as an organization but as a MOVEMENT. AIESEC should be something that lives in individuals.

DAY 2 - 21st October 2015

The bulk of the coaching happened on this day. We discussed further on the AIESEC International 15/16 plan, the logic, strategies and projects embedded in it, some of which include YouthSpeak, CC for Students and Partners, AIESEC 2020 amongst others. After this we received a "cheque" from the Bank of Reality... "Reality Check" ;-), in this space we were furnished with information of the current state of the entity and how we are perceived as an entity at the Global Office.

Day 3 - 22nd October 2015

The final day, we all did not want Mr Branham to leave! :( But oh well. On this day we were consolidating ideas and creating output on how we plan to relay the information we had received from Branham to the National plenary. After which representatives of AIESEC in KeMU and USIU came around. They got to ask him some questions which he answered. Hence, the photo session, which was guided by Her Excellency, Sandra Agyekum (MCVP TM)

  1. Well, I am glad he also graced Uganda as well in the recent visit between March 11th and 13th. It was really remarkable
